The MainFirst Top European Ideas Fund invests in promising European companies. Profit growth can be assumed due to the solid balance sheets, high profitability and forward-looking management of the companies selected for this fund. Investment decisions are based on in-depth fundamental analysis and thorough assessment of companies’ values large, medium or small caps can be selected and investments are made independently of sector and country.
The MainFirst Germany Fund invests primarily in undervalued high-growth medium-sized German companies. These so-called Hidden Champions show healthy balance sheets, high profitability and the potential for long-term growth in earnings. Often the board of management is also invested in the company or even founded the company. Large, mid and small cap stocks may be selected for investment.
Since inception, the MainFirst Top European Ideas Fund generated an alpha of 87% (ISIN: LU0308864965, as at 09.03.18) and the MainFirst Germany Fund generated an alpha of 254% (ISIN: LU0390221926, as at 09.03.18).
The MainFirst Global Equities Fund, managed by Frank Schwarz and his team, is a globally investing equity fund with an equity allocation of between 0 and 100%. The theme-based approach of the fund focuses on structurally growing investment themes such as digitization, automation and decarbonization. Companies with structural growth are preferred in the selection process. The investment focus can be on large, mid and small caps.
Since inception, the MainFirst Global Equities Fund generated an alpha of 57% (ISIN: LU0864710602, as at 09.03.18).
Adrian Daniel and his team manage the MainFirst Absolute Return Multi Asset.
The fund aims at long term positive returns above 5% with an acceptable level of risk. The fund makes use of a broadly diversified allocation structure of equities, bonds, currencies and commodities on a global scale. These are selected on the basis of fundamental criteria and with a focus on steady value growth. Since inception, the MainFirst Absolute Return Multi Asset generated a performance of 34% (ISIN: LU0864714935, as at 09.03.18).
The MainFirst Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Fund Balanced is managed by Thomas Rutz, Dorothea Fröhlich and Cornel Bruhin.
The fund invests in high interest hard currency bonds from the emerging markets. It also selects promising second-tier companies which are established in niche markets but undervalued overall. Sectors like commodities and energy are particularly attractive, as they have a high potential for profit.
Since inception, the MainFirst Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Fund Balanced generated an alpha of 12% and has a track record of five years.
