In an effort to get to know the RegTech ecosystem and their representatives better, we asked them a few questions.

This time we caught up with Andrew Campbell, Business Development, APIAX, who takes part to the RegTech Summit co-organized by Farvest and the LHoFT on October 11th.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and about your company?  For the last 15 years, I've been in charge of international B2B sales and product strategies/frameworks for global companies. I love introducing new technologies and solutions to markets - this is where I'm able to add my experience to Apiax's journey. As a perpetual early adopter, I'm very passionate about emerging technologies - and how they potentially fundamentally change how we live and conduct business. 

Apiax is a prime example of this kind of fundamental change in the RegTech space. We empower our clients to work with easy-to-use digital regulatory rules and master regulations digitally - enabling compliant-by-design enterprise workflows. Our vision is to become the lighthouse for our regulated world.

 

What does it take to be a good entrepreneur?

• Passion - being driven to get the idea out there

• Perseverance/Discipline/Focus - do what's right to the end and stay on it

• Flexibility/Open mindedness - make things work and evolve with inputs

• Connections - get your idea out there and access people

• Compassion - what you reap is what you sow

 

What is your role model or leitmotiv and why? There is always something more. It keeps me going: one more point, one more task closed, one more contact made, one more customer won, one more good moment with the team, one more thing learned, one more good deed to be performed to help someone else.

 

Any personal insight on RegTech trends you want to pass on to readers? What I find interesting is how the sector has really started taking shape over the last couple of months. RegTech currently is moving from catch-phrase to tangible use cases. Everything is starting to fall into place. That's a very important development that will result in much more clarity regarding RegTech solutions out there and their business benefits for companies.
