On 17 August 2016 EWUB received an official visit from Serge de Cillia, CEO ABBL, and Benoit Cerfontaine, Adviser International Affairs and Promotion, ABBL. After a brief tour and introduction into the history of villa Foch, the guests met with Sergey Pchelintsev, CEO of the Bank. In the heated discussion on the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between ABBL and EWUB were involved other EWUB representatives: Andrey Zaitsev, Head of Private Banking, Veronika Vasilyeva, Head of Transactional Banking Division, and Anna Radishevskaia, Head of Corporate Communications.
Sergey Pchelintcev has talked at length about the bank's new strategy aimed primarily at the development of Private banking in synergy with Corporate services, Global markets and Transactional banking. "Our main goal is to better and more efficiently meet the demands of Private Banking clients" - said Sergey Pchelintcev. "When adapting to new external conditions and new regulatory requirements, EWUB aims to become compact innovative bank. We are very interested in everything that is connected with FinTech, and we are closely watching the development of this sector in Luxembourg, especially in terms of its regulatory support”.
Serge de Cillia described principles of ABBL organization, explained the many benefits for EWUB's participation in various work-groups, such as Private Banking, Fintech and others. He also talked about close cooperation between ABBL and LFF on promotion of Luxembourg as a financial center.
In conclusion, Sergey Pchelintcev stressed the crucial importance of cooperation with ABBL, which allows the Bank to keep ahead of all the latest innovations and changes in Luxembourg law and business development. All participants of the meeting agreed the need to further develop and strengthen collaboration between ABBL and EWUB, which is useful and productive for both sides.
