On Match 5th, 2020, a revisited ceremony of the Luxembourg Finance Awards took place during the first edition of the European Finance Summit. More than 500 finance professionals gathered at the ECCL to attend a series of conferences, panel discussions, but also to further discuss trendy topics during the networking cocktail, while discovering who the recipients of the Luxembourg Finance Awards are.

Acting as Master of Ceremony, François Masquelier (CEO of Simply Treasury, and Chairman of Luxembourg Corporate Treasury, ATEL), first had the pleasure to welcome Jean-Paul Karpen (General Manager, Fondation Lëtzebuerger Kannerduerf) on stage, who presented his association to the audience.

Governance.com won the first prize of the night and was named Financial Software Provider of the Year. The luxembourgish company aims at simplifying the regulatory oversight process and makes real-time information available to their clients. It provides them with innovative dashboarding functionalities.

The Best Marketing Campaign in Finance prize was awarded to BIL, acknowledging its myLIFE blog. The content platform aims at becoming a go-to blog  to help clients manage their finance but also to inspire them to reach their goals in Luxembourg. Last year, more than 110 new contents were produced and distributed on social and traditional media.

Foyer's Data Studio was named Finance Team of the Year. The Data Studio was created in 2018, in line with Foyer's innovation strategy, and aims at turning data into a strategic asset. The team is composed of IT specialists, insurance experts and data scientists, who all work together and advocate the agile methodology.

The Fintech Solution of the Year award went to Lingua Custodia, an innovative company founded by finance professionals, which leverages the power of Machine Learning to address the translation issues faced in the financial industry. The experts of Lingua Custodia specialize in the most recent AI techniques, including neural training. The prize was handed to the winner by Manon Loison (Head of Marketing, LHoFT).

Johan Claudot (VP, Head of Treasury, The Blackstone Group) was named Treasury Manager of the Year. This prize is supported by ATEL and rewards an expert who helped the company benefit from new insights, improve its efficiency, spread its best practices, etc.

Finally, Rajaa Mekouar-Schneider (CEO of the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association) won the prize of Inspirational Women in Finance. The jury members highlighted the work she put in since arriving in Luxembourg, a little more than 4 years ago. She notably focuses on bringing women forward in the financial world, hence the PE4W initiative she launched.
