The second edition of European Finance Summit is to take place digitally next March 15th. It will feature several local and international speakers, who will take the virtual stage and focus on “sustainable recovery and green transition”. A round-table entitled “Sustainability goals for tomorrow's financial sector” will notably be organized.

Anne-Claire Roux (Managing Director, Finance for Tomorrow) and Julien Froumouth (Sustainable Finance Adviser, ABBL) have already confirmed their participation to this round table discussion.

Julien Froumouth is in charge of supporting ABBL members in achieving their transition to a sustainable finance approach, adapting to new regulatory requirements and deploying solutions across sustainable investment, financing and advisory activities.

In the sustainable finance domain, he contributes to maintaining Luxembourg's position amongst the top sustainable financial centers, by supporting cooperation between the sustainable finance ecosystems and sharing innovative ideas to anticipate future risks and opportunities in this field.

According to him, “the financial sector is shifting to a rapidly changing landscape where financial education, corporate social responsibility and sustainable finance will have to be closely integrated within overall corporate strategy and business activities. Regulatory developments, from climate-related risks consideration to non-financial disclosures, will drive fundamental changes and create new opportunities to achieve ambitious financial and sustainability goals. And not only financial industry but also society in general increasingly requires such urgent transformation."

"We have many key players already strongly active in the sustainable finance area, with international recognition, and many other initiatives like the sustainability bonds newly issued by the Luxembourg Government contribute to making Luxembourg a pioneer in bridging the gaps between sustainability ambitions and financial industry actions”, adds Julien Froumouth.
