Jan van Vonno holds the position of Research Director at Tink, the Fintech founded in Stockholm in 2012. The Open Banking expert will participate to the first edition of the European Finance Summit, to take place on March 5th, 2020, at the European Convention Center Luxembourg.
Jan van Vonno spearheads Tink's research and thought leadership program. Founded in Stockholm in 2012, Tink is Europe’s leading open banking platform that enables banks, fintechs and startups to develop data-driven financial services. Tink’s customers include companies PayPal, NatWest, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas Fortis, Klarna, and many others. Jan is responsible for the strategic positioning of Tink within the context of open banking and Tink's outbound communication and content. Jan worked most of his career for the International Data Corporation (IDC). During his time at IDC, he covered various technology and business topic as the head of the European digital transformation research program.
In January, the Swedish Fintech announced that it completed a 90 million euros investment round, with the participation of Dawn Capital and HMI Capital but also with existing investors Insight Partners, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, etc. This new investement round will facilitate the company's growth ambitions as Tink has expressed its continued expansion across Europe, while still working on the continuous development of its open banking platform.
Jan van Vonno will participate to a panel discussion on the topic of "Open Banking", with Olivia Vinden (Head of Fintech & Innovation, Alpha FMC UK), Balazs Barna (Technical Lead, European Expansion, TransferWise), Marc Hemmerling (General Counsel Digital Banking, FinTech and Payments & Member of the Senior Management of ABBL) and Jacques Putz (CEO, LUXHUB).
