A new edition of the Pitch Your Startup competition will take place on May 21st, 2019, during ICT Spring. The Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), which is known for supporting local startups, will once again be one of the event's main partners and will offer 20,000€ to a startup based in Luxembourg.
BIL has a strong commitment to the local innovative ecosystem. The Bank believes in Luxembourg as a startup nation and is, as such, the only local bank involved in the Digital Tech Fund, devoted to providing seed capital to innovative companies. In addition, BIL organizes every year its “Startuppers Night” with the support of Technoport and Paul Wurth InCub. This evening offers the country’s most promising entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet up, with the chance to discover and test out the latest technological finds.
“We are proud to participate once again in Pitch Your Startup. We are one of the largest supporter of Luxembourg’s tech and innovation ecosystem, in particular through InnovFin loans [ed. a financing scheme dedicated to innovative companies]. New this year, we will award a BIL prize of 20.000€ dedicated to Luxembourgish startups. We are looking forward to discovering this year’s candidates!” declares Pierre-Olivier Rotheval, Head of Marketing & Innovation, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg.
In this respect, BIL has renewed its sponsorship and trust in the Pitch Your Startup competition and has decided to grant a cash prize to the Luxembourg-based startup with the most innovative project presented. Moreover, the bank now has a dedicated team of experts for fintech companies and supports local accelerators / incubators: Technoport, Paul Wurth InCub, InnoHub and The Office.
This year, 60 startups will have a chance to pitch on May 21st in Luxembourg. They must fall into one of the four following categories: FinTech and RegTech; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Big Data; Smart living and Cybersecurity. Each startup will have 3 minutes and 33 seconds to pitch, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A with the jury composed of seasoned international experts.
Thanks to BIL, Luxembourgish startups, as well as the many international startups that have been contacting PYSU’s team to apply since the closing of the deadline, benefit from an exceptional extended deadline: an opportunity to apply to Pitch Your Startup 2019 until Sunday, April 14th at 11:59 pm (GMT +1) via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
